We’re Short and Sweet Today

It’s Sunday so we’re throwing you some love and not crushing you with Burpees.

Add a final 5 minute faster interval to your workout.  And make it count, cause it’s only 5 minutes.   That’s it.

Now go run!

Run to Raise Money for Schools

I like a charity run as much as the next gal.  So check out this local run that not only raises money for local schools but offers kids and adults alike a chance to get out for a run, walk or stroll on October 15th.

There’s a timed 5K Run/Walk, a 1 Mile Fun Run and a Family Festival for activities for the kids!  I’m proud to be a part of the team organizing the event as well as a sponsor (shout out to OutFIT Marin Boot-Camp).

For more information on the event click here.

Register for the run at https://runsignup.com/RunAsOne.

Who’s Ready for Week 4?

I love a 30 day challenge.  I know, you’ve heard.  I find them very motivating and enjoy the act of having something to do every day.  If, however, you’ve been floundering here’s a little secret.

Making a conscious decision that you are going to stick with a challenge for 30 days is the challenge.

Ahhh young grasshopper…you have much to learn.

Once you flip the switch from “maybe” to “yes”, the struggle is over.  Objections melt away.  It’s not whether you will, your only decision becomes when?

Digest that nugget for a bit.  It’s a game-changer.

Here’s Week 4 of the 30 Day Boot-Camp Challenge.  Enjoy.

Here Comes the Sun

Welcome to Day 10 of the 30 Day Boot-Camp Challenge.  Good job!

Yesterday I ran a 9.6 mile night trail race so I’m looking forward to today’s workout; Sun Salutation.

It’s a great practice to start your day but it can also be used as a way to wind down in the evening.  You can perform the sequence one time if you’re crunched for time but ideally 3 times at minimum.

You want to generate heat in the muscles so you’ll move with greater ease each time.  Don’t be surprised if your body is stiff the first time through.

Below is the info graphic of the movements.  Click the link to pull up the detailed practice so you can follow along.  30 Day BC Challenge Sun Sal

30 Day Boot-Camp Challenge Calendar

I like challenges because they propel, push and move you forward or help pull you out of a rut.

So dive in.  Commit.

With this challenge, there’s something to do every day.  Some days it’s a little something, some days a little more.

Print the calendar, post it near your computer, by your running shoes, on the mirror in your bathroom.  After you do the workout take a pen and cross out the day, make a check mark or write a star.  Make some physical marking on the page.  As you go along in the challenge those physical markings will provide motivation.

Trust me.  It works.

I’m working on a Challenge Page for the blog and I’ll post a “how to do the exercises” page for you.

Alrighty, go forth and conquer my fellow challengers.  To print out the first two weeks of the challenge click the link to download the pdf. 30 Day Boot-Camp Challenge – Week 1 and 2
