Arm Yourself for Spring

Here in CA we’ve been blessed with spring-like temperatures.  This means that heavy coats, bulky sweaters and long-sleeved tees have been replaced with short sleeves and even shorts.  Yikes!  In February.

My point? (No, it’s not to aggravate our snowy brethren on the eastern half of the country).  It’s to kindly suggest that if you’re not so happy with the recent unveiling of your arms from their winter hibernation, maybe it’s time to give our Push Up Challenge a go.

Warm up 3-5 minutes (walk in place, do jumping jacks, jog up and down the hall)

Perform the following workout 1 time through: (with a 15 second rest in between):

  • 15 push ups
  • 10 push ups
  • 15 push ups
  • 5 push ups

Modified or Military Push Ups.  Your choice.  Go.

Now go run!

PS – Today is my birthday and I get to go on a gorgeous 10 mile run.  I know, we all have our own idea of a fun way to spend a birthday morning.  This is mine.  Cheers!
