I incorporate pushups in every class I teach. I find that the pushup is a remarkably effective strength move that fires every muscle in the upper body, including your abdominal region.
This week I did a max pushup test in my class (how many pushups with good form can be done in a minute). I want a benchmark to see where the class is right now and then in 8 weeks we’ll repeat the test to see how much improvement has been made. Some clients are not able to do a full pushup so they are being tested doing a modified version where others are doing the full “military” style pushup.
I also did the test and am going to push (no pun intended) myself to improve my score. Check back to see how we’re doing!
